While the outcome of this meeting is eagerly awaited, there is speculation that the retention decision, an important policy matter, may also be discussed in the all-important general body meeting on Sunday.

Apart from finalizing the retention rules, the GC is expected to make crucial decisions regarding the date and venue for the upcoming mega-auction. Current information suggests the auction will be held at the end of November, with the Gulf region, particularly Saudi Arabia, being a potential venue. Riyadh has shown interest in hosting the event, and if approved by the GC, it could be the first auction held in the city.

Number of retentions and RTM speculation

There is significant speculation regarding the number of retentions allowed for each team. Reports indicate that the number could range between two to eight players.
