During the Mumbai T20I toss, the last game of the five-match T20I series, English captain Jos Buttler chose to field first after winning the toss. At the toss, Buttler not only confirmed the playing XI with the replacement announcement but also announced the substitute players to stretch the controversial concussion substitute saga.
India have already secured the home T20I series by 3-1 before the last game of the series, which Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai is hosting on Sunday. During the last T20I at Pune, India made a controversial concussion substitute after Harshit Rana replaced Shivam Dube in the second innings of the match.
After Dube scored valuable 53 runs, he didn't return to the field as he got a blow on his helmet on the fifth ball of the final over of the first innings. While Dube is an all-rounder, India chose the regular pacer Harshit Rana as the replacement and the match referee gave the green signal for that replacement. In that dramatic way, Rana made his T20I debut, who made a significant impact in that game by picking up three wickets. As many were shocked by that decision, English captain Jos Buttler was expectedly unhappy with that replacement.

During the toss of the Mumbai T20I, English captain Buttler confirmed that they made one change as Mark Wood replaced Saqib Mahmood. He also added four impact subs names as Rehan Ahmed, Saqib Mahmood, Jamie Smith, and Gus Atkinson. Surely, he is not holding back that controversial concussion substitute incident.
