After New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner chose to field first, India scored the challenging total of 249/9 in 50 overs.</p><p>In reply, New Zealand openers failed to provide important solid starts. While every Blackcaps batter was struggling, former New Zealand captain Kane Williamson once again played a valuable role. Although he took many balls, the right-handed batter was the main reason for the Kiwis' scoreboard moving in the tricky chase against the Indian top-spinners. </p><p>The latest Champions Trophy half-century was Williamson's 12th 50+ ODI score against India.
