Virat Kohli, former Indian cricket team captain and Royal Challengers Bengaluru, brought a significant modification to his Instagram profile on Wednesday, April 9, 2025. It saw him cleansing his primary Instagram grid of all promotional content, sponsored collaborations, and ads and relocating them to the reels category. The action drastically alters the aesthetic look of his page, tending it towards being personalized and brand-oriented.

Now, the 'posts' feed, basically the homepage of his Instagram account, includes stuff like gym sessions, training photos, time spent with family and friends, and updates about his own businesses like the One8 brand. Kohli's is the most followed Instagram account of any Indian athlete, and it's seen as a smart move to shift the attention back towards his personal brand and business ventures. Kohli or his management didn't make any official statement about this change, but fans noticed quickly enough.
