Rohit Sharma as captain delivered once again by winning Champions Trophy 2025 as captain. Earlier missing the ODI world cup on home soil it was lot on stake for Rohit Sharma as captain in 50 over game. Last year he won the T20 World Cup in west indies and now winning the champions Trophy has added another trophy in his Cabinet which moves the tally to 11. It was not at all easy for Rohit Sharma to attain this. 

Started his career as middile order batsman and was selected for 2007 T20 World Cup, were he played some important knocks a 50 against South Africa and the most important one in the final where he scored important 30 runs. Which went on to win the maiden T20 world cup. After that Rohit Sharma didn't get as many chances where he was neglected. In 2011 to was not selected for the world cup which he shared his disappointment.

Ater the truimph of 2011 World cup many main players retired from the team which paved the way to Rohit Sharma to get into team. Rohit Sharma had a great outing in 2013 Champions Trophy and India won their second title under the leadership of Ms Dhoni. But soon Rohit Sharma era started where he was offered my Mumbai Indians to captain their side, since his acquirance in 2011 by them for 9.5 crores. 

The Era Of Vast Captaincy Experience

In 2013 Rohit Sharma was appointed as captain of Mumbai Indians. He won his maiden title as captain beating Chennai Super Kings.  Then he went to win CLT20 with Mumbai Indians. From there it was all for Rohit Sharma where he went to win 2015 Ipl trophy, 2017 Ipl trophy, 2019 Ipl trophy and 2020 Ipl trophy by that time, Rohit Sharma established himself from good captain to all great for Mumbai Indians. 

Till that Virat acquired the captaincy but was staggering into struggles but he was great test captain. After that Rohit Sharma was prepared by BCCI to prepare for his captaincy roles. He started his Indian Team captaincy with being stand by captain in Nidhas Trophy where Dk class helped them to clinch the trophy.

Rohit Sharma As Formidable Captain

Then Rohit next assignment came in Asia Cup as stand in captain there too he had clinched the trophy and stamped that he was ready for full time captaincy role. Though acquirung the captaincy there was no endure in batting there was same style in batting. Soon after 2019 semi final exit Kohli stepped down as captain and Rohit took over the captaincy. 

Not just he guided with his captaincy but lead the team by his batting supremacy too.  Yesterday Rohit added another trophy in his cabinet as ICC champions Trophy winning captain where he won it earier as player and India claiming their  third trophy. 

Rohit lost the 2022 T20 world cup semi final and 2023 final as captain but he proved his legacy over there too with his captaincy and batting abilities. But took his revenge on winning the T20 world cup last year in june and winning the ICC Champions Trophy for third time.
