While the IPL 2025 is less than a month away to start, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are eagerly waiting to learn the status of their Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh.
Mitchell Marsh was one of the key buys for the LSG during the IPL 2025 mega auction. While the Australian all-rounder had a base price of INR 2 crore, LSG secured him for INR 3.40 crore. Marsh is a well-known face in the IPL as he has already played for five different teams before joining his latest side LSG. His first five IPL teams were now-defunct Deccan Chargers, now-defunct Pune Warriors India, now-defunct Rising Pune Supergiant, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Delhi Capitals.

In his IPL career, Marsh has recorded 665 runs and 37 wickets in 42 matches. His batting average is 19.55 but his strike rate is 127.63. He has recorded three half-centuries in his IPL career.
Due to back injury, Marsh was already ruled out from the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are hosting. Talking about his injury, Cricket Australia (CA) only revealed the issue as "lower back pain and dysfunction".
Marsh is one of the key names for the LSG for the IPL 2025. So, the LSG team management is keenly waiting for Marsh's fitness report, but it is not good news for the IPL team. When Marsh was officially out of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, it was also claimed that he was doubtful for the IPL 2025. The situation hasn't changed yet as some reports are indicating that Marsh will be unavailable for the IPL 2025. If it is true, it will be a huge blow for LSG, as they have to find out the top replacement of Mitchell Marsh at least for the IPL 2025, which will be very tough for the franchise.
