In the 13th match of the IPL 2025, the Lucknow Super Giants vs Punjab Kings (LSG vs PBKS) match has been scheduled for Tuesday evening (April 1) at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.
It will be the third game for Lucknow Super Giants and the second match for Punjab Kings in the IPL 2025. LSG started the season with a shocking one-wicket defeat against Delhi Capitals despite dominating the match mostly. However, they handled SunRisers Hyderabad strongly and claimed a five-wicket win after successfully chasing the 191-run target in 16.1 overs. On the other hand, the Punjab Kings had a high-scoring encounter with the Gujarat Titans in their season opener, where PBKS scored 243/5 and won by 11 runs after the hosts Titans replied with 232/5.

LSG batting needs to be checked and cautious, as despite Mitchell Marsh and Nicholas Pooran providing strong starts for the team in both their IPL 2025 matches, the next batters struggled to handle the later situations. While the pacer Shardul Thakur is providing strong starts, the other bowlers need to perform with discipline.
It is too early to say anything about Punjab Kings' playing XI. After a strong batting performance against the Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad, the Punjab bowlers struggled on the tough bowling pitch. As they have some strong all-rounders, the franchise can make the batting order deeper.
Unless any injuries, both teams are unlikely to make any significant changes in their respective playing XIs.
Lucknow Super Giants Predicted Playing 11: Aiden Markram, Mitchell Marsh, Nicholas Pooran, Rishabh Pant (Captain), Ayush Badoni, David Miller, Abdul Samad, Shardul Thakur, Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan, Prince Yadav
