It will be cutting it fine but in case LSG qualifies for the play-offs. He might just be able to play the knock-out games. But it is like hoping against hope and right now he is doubtful for the remaining IPL games,” a BCCI source informed PTI on condition of anonymity.</p><h3 class="wp-block-heading">Skipper Rahul’s Statement</h3><p>KL Rahul, captain of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), expressed concern over Mayank’s injury, emphasizing the need to prioritize his well-being. Despite the setback, Rahul commended Mayank’s performance on the field.</p><p>“I haven’t spoken to Mayank much. He had some pain in his sides. He said <em>thoda dukh raha hai</em>. So, I asked him to go out. He is useful for us. We need to take care of him. He bowled wide yorkers and slower bumpers today which was good to see. We are giving him a free hand,” Rahul said.</p><h3 class="wp-block-heading">Potential Fast-Bowling Contract</h3><p>Despite the setback, there is a silver lining for Mayank as reports suggest he will likely receive a fast-bowling contract, underscoring his impact in the few matches he played for LSG in IPL 2024.
