The 12th match of the IPL 2025 has been scheduled for the Mumbai Indians vs Kolkata Knight Riders (MI vs KKR). Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai will host this fixture on Monday evening (March 31).
Five-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians have a horrible start in the IPL 2025. After losing their season opener by four wickets against the hosts Chennai Super Kings in a tight affair, MI suffered a 36-run defeat against the hosts Gujarat Titans. In both matches, MI batters completely struggled. While one of the successful IPL franchises has suffered four consecutive defeats, they are looking to start their home fixtures of the IPL 2025 in a strong way with a confident win.
Meanwhile, the defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders suffered a big seven-wicket home defeat against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the first game of the season. However, in their next fixture, KKR thrashed Rajasthan Royals by eight wickets, where the KKR opener Quinton de Kock scored a match-winning 97 not out off 61 balls with eight fours and six sixes.

MI batting hasn't shown any confidence in their first two matches of the season. Meanwhile, the team management will now sort out a team that can control the game in home fixtures. The foreign batting names can be crucial for MI as Will Jacks, Bevon Jacobs, and Corbin Bosch are waiting for their opportunities, while the opener Ryan Rickelton has to prove himself soon.
For the KKR squad, the Caribbean star Sunil Narine is set to return, while the English cricketer Moeen Ali has to leave the place. Otherwise, we aren't going to see any big changes in the playing squad.
