In the 20th match of the IPL 2025, Mumbai Indians vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru (MI vs RCB) will be played at Wankhede Stadium (Mumbai) on Monday night (April 7).
Mumbai Indians are ready for their fifth match of the season, having recorded one win and three defeats. After starting the new season with four-wicket and 36-run defeats against Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans, MI thrashed the reigning champions Kolkata Knight Riders by eight wickets. However, in their last fixture, MI lost by 12 runs against Lucknow Super Giants.
Meanwhile, it will be the fourth match for Royal Challengers Bengaluru, who started the season with two successive wins by big margins. After thrashing the defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders by seven wickets in the season opener, RCB beat the hosts Chennai Super Kings by 50 runs in their next fixture. However, in their last game at home, RCB suffered an eight-wicket defeat against Gujarat Titans.

Former MI captain Rohit Sharma missed the last game. While the team management claimed that Rohit could return to the team for the home match against RCB, his fitness test will be taken in the nets on Sunday. Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah is likely to start his IPL 2025 journey from Monday. MI's top-order batting is the main headache for the first five-time IPL champions.
RCB's top-order batters are one of their strengths, while the middle-order batters have also shown improvements. They also have the effective bowlers to control the game.
