The inaugural season of the Women’s Premier League Mumbai Indians women’s team reaches into the final with style. Always in cricket and other sports, the crowd plays a vital role for the home team. In today’s match of MI-W vs UP-W, the crowd plays an important role and the well-settled MI team gives no chance to the UP warriorz players. As a result, MI locked his match with DC in the final summit of the WPL 2023 season.

Brunt & Wong Destroyed UP Warriorz By Their Play

At the start of WPL MI shows itself as a stronger team on paper but in the end, they also proved it with their game. They showed their class and excellent batting and bowling skills. As a result, they hung a big score of 182 on the board. To hang this big score in the first innings Nat Sciver-Brunt led the charge and other players around her chipped with small and handy cameos. She scored 72 in just 38 balls & stay not out in the ground. After these fiery innings, the MI bowlers cannot miss any chance to destroy UP.

Hats off to MI skipper Harmanpreet Kaur to roll her bowlers in the right way. Her bowling changes pick three quick wickets in the powerplay. But the main touch comes in the 13th over of UP’s innings from the MI bowling side.

Wong’s hattrick in the 13th over destroy the run chase from the root. Wong takes a total of 4 wickets in her excellent 4-over spell only giving 15 runs to the opponent. And today fielding effort from MI players just feel effortless to the spectators. Amanjot Kaur’s run out of Tahlia McGrath was one of the turning points of the match, & this led MI to the finals.

Kiran Navgire’s 43 Does Not Help UP In Run Chase

On the other hand, UP is fully dependent on the Aussie trio of Alyssa Healy, Tahlia McGrath, & grace Harris. But they all failed in this match that’s why the run chase gets hard for UP warriorz. Not only batting collapse be the reason behind the loss of the match for UP, but their folding is also a reason. UP missed a catch of Sciver-brunt when she just score only 6 runs on the board. After that Sciver does not give any chance to the opponent and takes away the full match from UP.

But Kiran Navgire plays some lucrative shots at the field. She scored 43 in 27 balls. Except for Navgire, no one else could perform in this match. Because of that UP full team was all out in just 110 runs & lost by 72 runs. MI played well in this math that’s why they won the match. Issy Wong’s hattrick turns the match towards MI. As a result, they fixed their place in the final. And Wong gets the player of the match award for her great bowling spell.
