As the match progressed this thing became more apparent. Amellia Kerr’s all-around performance pushed MI to win this big match in the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, Navi Mumbai.

Kerr’s Fiery All-round Performance Shows Her Class in WPL

As the pitch helps the bowlers’ MI bowler Hayley Matthews bowl tight overs in the powerplay and as well as get rid of the previous match’s RCB star Sophie Devine through run out. This helps MI a lot. Her bowling spell, Nat Sciver’s, and Issy Wong’s tidy middle-over bowling spell bind RCB’s score under 130. Besides Kerr, Nat Sciver and Wong take 2 wickets without losing too many runs in their separate 4-over spells. 

And in the other half of the play when MI comes to bat they start the innings well but wickets fall in quick succession. Then the bowling hero Amellia Kerr shows her batting skills on the ground. Her 31 runs in 27 bowls helped MI to win this big match without any hesitation. She stood till the end and finished the match. This round of performance prized her as the player of the match.

RCB’s Kanika Ahuja’s 1 Over Spell Try To Steal The Show At Last

Bangalore’s journey in the WPL 2023 ends now and it ends with another painful loss. Skipper Smriti Mandhana tries to give her best but she fails and she scores 24 runs in 35 balls. RCB’s Australian all-rounder Ellyse Perry also helps and tries to score big runs in today’s match. She scored 29 runs in 38 balls. She gives the support but the big hitter of RCB comes and tries to conquer MI. Richa Ghosh scored the last 29 runs in just 13 balls. This takes RCB’s total to 125 for 9 wickets.

But there is a twist in the match, RCB’s bowler Kanika Ahuja tries to steal the show at last by taking 2 wickets in two bowls of her 1 over spell. But it didn’t work it’s too late for RCB. Amellia Kerr’s innings took the match away from RCB.
