England’s legendary cricketer Naseer Hussain opened up on Ben Stokes resigning from One-Day Internationals at 31 years old. Former England captain feels that the excess of cricket is the explanation for cricketers stopping one type of cricket from the get-go in their profession.
Stokes, who assumed a crucial part in England winning the 2019 ICC World Cup, took a shocking decision to resign from fifty overs cricket subsequent to playing only 104 games. Stokes in his retirement message referenced that playing three configurations had become unreasonable for him.
“It is disappointing news to say the least but it is a reflection of where the cricketing schedule is at the moment. It is madness for players, If the ICC just keep putting on ICC events and individual boards just keep filling the gaps with as much cricket as possible, eventually these cricketers will just say I’m done.”

“Stokes is done with one format aged 31, which can’t be right, really. The schedule needs looking at, it is a bit of a joke at the moment,”
he added.
