Lucknow Super Giants’ star batter Nicholas Pooran showed a kind gesture before their IPL 2025 match against Delhi Capitals. He met a fan who was hit by one of his powerful sixes earlier this season. The meeting happened during a training session at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. Pooran gave the fan a signed cap and checked if he felt okay.
The incident happened on April 12 during LSG’s match against the Gujarat Titans. Pooran was in top form, hitting seven sixes in his quick 61-run knock. One of those sixes hit a fan named Nabeel on the head in the stands, causing a bloody injury. Nabeel had to be taken to the hospital. Later, as the team got ready for their next match, Pooran met Nabeel. The West Indian batter, known for his big hitting and calm nature, had arranged the meeting. The fan still had a bandage on his head when they met.
In a video shared by the team’s official social media page, Pooran is seen asking the fan, “All is well?” Nabeel gave a thumbs-up in reply. He was happy and thankful that Pooran took the time to meet him. “It felt really good. Pooran Sir had scheduled the call. That’s when I came and met him. He asked how I was. I’ll come to watch the match against Delhi. Even if I get hit again, it’s okay. Lucknow should just keep winning,” Nabeel said.

Fans loved the video and praised Pooran for his kindness. It also showed how much LSG cares about its supporters. Pooran has been one of the best players for Lucknow this season. He is second in the race for the Orange Cap with 368 runs in eight matches. His strike rate is an impressive 205.58. If he scores 52 or more runs in the next match, he will take the Orange Cap from Gujarat Titans' Sai Sudharsan.
Although his recent games against CSK and RR weren’t as good, Pooran remains a key player for LSG. The team is currently in fifth place on the points table. If they beat Delhi Capitals, they will move up to second. As for Nabeel, he’s just hoping for another LSG win even if he gets hit by a six again. “Bas apni Lucknow ki team jeetti rehni chahiye,” he said with a smile.
