Chennai Super Kings Noor Ahmad has claimed his purple cap back to him as he gets on top of the wicket-taker list by 8 wickets. Earlier this cap was with Delhi Capitals Mitchell Starc who struck a fifer against SRH. But now it's back to Csk Noor Ahmad who has taken 8 wickets in 3 matches. Ipl embarks the leading highest run-getter with an orange cap and the leading wicket-taker with a purple cap which boosts the players to score more runs and take wickets which marks the speciality of superiority over other players. 
The induction of the purple cap was inducted in 13May2008 where Sohail Tanvir was the first player to get the purple cap. Since then many players have attained this cap which has a great history. Same as this year the race for the purple cap has begun and every bowler is giving their best efforts to attain that cap. It was Noor Ahmad who started the proceedings taking 4 wickets against Mumbai Indians.

Then later it was an exciting entry where Shardul took his entry for Lucknow Super Giants picking up 5 wickets in two matches and leading the board. Even Kuldeep Yadav is not too far away from the purple cap, where he has taken 5 wickets in 2 matches only. Meanwhile, at the day match Starc was leading the chart with 7 wickets taking 5 for against the strong SRH batting line, that's the aura the he produces on the ground when you neglect him he comes up with great performances

Noor Ahmad was bought by CSK at the auction at the price of 10 crores, earlier he was in Gujarat where his economy and tight lines were an asset to Gujarat this year they let him go and the chance was used by CSK went all out for him and he was bought at the price of 10 crores,

Though arises the question is this isn't too much the type of ground in Chennai it suits the spinners well so they made the right choice but he repaid it with his performance by taking 4 wickets in the first match 
In his second match, he took 2 wickets and in today's match too he took two important wickets and crossed over Starc to get his purple cap from him. Now Noor Ahmad is the current leading wicket-taker and purple cap holder with 8 wickets.
