Virat Kohli who took a break from cricket, skipping India’s tours of the West Indies and Zimbabwe as a result of his recent slump, which has been widely reported. However, he is scheduled to play again when India plays Pakistan in their opening Asia Cup game on Sunday.

Irfan Pathan, a former all-rounder for India, stated that more than the Asia Cup, Kohli will be important in the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia in October and November 2022. India will need him to be at his best.

Pathan said on Star Sports’ show ‘Gameplan’.

When asked what would happen if Kohli did not have a successful Asia Cup run, Pathan responded that India would need to consider other possibilities.

“The Indian team has so many options, they have to choose from the options,” said Pathan.
