The HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) is poised to take the fan experience in Season 10 to a higher level by launching Player Tracking Technology. From April 11, PSL X will employ this cutting edge system to capture granular ball-by-ball data, providing real-time analytics of the game. This new technology will record each movement in the field a fielder's position, a bowler's run-up, or a batter's stance frame by frame.
The information gathered from each delivery is going to be presented on the screen through easy to understand, simple to view graphics, and this will provide the fans with a better insight into what is happening in the field. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) affirms this is a major step towards harmonizing the PSL with international standards of broadcasting. The technology, apart from raising engagement, will also raise the level of transparency during games. The coaches and captains will use the information real-time to make better decisions.
