Karachi Kings vs Quetta Gladiators Full Match Highlights

Karachi Kings returned to winning form in Match 8 of the PSL 10 season by defeating Quetta Gladiators. The star of the match was Afghanistan’s seasoned all-rounder Mohammad Nabi, who delivered a brilliant bowling performance. He bowled his full quota of four overs, took two wickets, gave away just seven runs, and even bowled a maiden over—maintaining an exceptional economy rate of 1.75. With the bat, James Vince led from the front, scoring a composed 70-run knock that helped Karachi Kings post a competitive total of 175. The combined efforts ensured a strong comeback for the Kings in the tournament.

Toss and the first innings

Karachi Kings captain David Warner, without any hesitation, decided to bat first. Karachi Kings posted a total of 175/7 in their 20 overs against Quetta Gladiators, thanks to a solid knock by James Vince, who scored 70 off 47 balls. Tim Seifert (27 off 15) and David Warner (31 off 20) gave a fiery start, while Mohammad Nabi chipped in with 18 off 12. Karachi lost momentum in the middle overs but managed a strong finish. Ali Majid and Mohammad Amir picked up two wickets each for Quetta, while Abbott, Abrar Ahmed, and captain Saud Shakeel contributed economically. The powerplay yielded 66 runs, setting the tone for a competitive total at the end.

Second innings

Quetta Gladiators faltered in their chase of 176, managing only 119/9 in their 20 overs against Karachi Kings. Skipper Saud Shakeel remained unbeaten on 33, but the rest of the batting lineup collapsed under pressure. Hasan Ali shone with the ball, grabbing 3 crucial wickets, while Mohammad Nabi’s economical spell (2/7) further dented Quetta’s hopes. Abbas Afridi also chipped in with two wickets. Quetta lost wickets at regular intervals, with no batter crossing 20 except Shakeel. Despite a late cameo from Mohammad Amir (30), the target proved too steep, handing Karachi Kings a convincing 56-run victory in the PSL 2025 encounter.

Karachi Kings vs Quetta Gladiators: Post match reactions

Saud Shakeel (Quetta Gladiators captain): The pitch was on the slower side, Karachi Kings used the conditions well and stuck to the plans. It was just a day we need to forget about. Losing five wickets in the Powerplay didn't help us and we'll try to address that. We have a small break before the next game and need to work on a couple of things

David Warner (Karachi Kings captain): I am happy with the score, especially the way Vince had played. Mohammad Nabi bowled fantastically well. We were able to take wickets inside the Powerplay. There was no dew on the ground, it was on the slower side and it helped our bowlers. There wasn't much home advantage as we played three games on three different wickets.
