Multan Sultans (MS) 228 proved too much for Lahore Qalandars (LAH) in game 12 of PSL 10. With the win, Sultans got their first victory of the ongoing season, and Qalandars tasted their second defeat. MS won the match by 33 runs.
At Multan Cricket Stadium, MS skipper Mohammad Rizwan won the toss and asked his opponent to bowl first. The pitch was flat and batting-friendly. Multan Sultans, on their home ground, welcomed the wicket conditions with both arms. Opener Yasir Khan led the innings with his 87-run innings. Iftikhar Ahmed played a good hand with an unbeaten 18-ball, 40-run innings. Multan Sultans presented an all-round batting performance against the visitors.
Lahore Qalandars tried to discover their best but produced 195 against 228. Michael Bracewell and 19-year-old Ubaid Shah dismantled LAH's batting order by half. Sikandar Raza, with his unbeaten 50, was the best performer with the bat for Lahore, and Sam Billings, with 43, stood tall for a while against Multan Sultans, but those two innings only delayed Sultans' victory march.

Shaheen Afridi (Lahore Qalandars captain): "It was tough conditions for the bowlers, tried different things but didn't work. Yasir Khan batted really well and credit goes to him. Sam Billings and Sikandar Raza batted well but we never lose hope. Rishad Hossain has bowled well, but unfortunately, it was a flat wicket, and he didn't get much help. We are expecting better wickets as the tournament moves on. We are still early in the season and doesn't want to point out any mistakes in this game."
Mohammad Rizwan (Multan Sultans captain): "In our previous matches, we didn't field well but today we were brilliant. We executed our bowling today, which we lacked in the previous matches. We carried the momentum today with the bat, Usman Khan did the job to carry on the intent which was much needed. Our bowling department is a bit inexperienced and that's why we tries to stay around them."
