The HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 will take place from April 11 to May 18, with 34 games to be contested across four grounds: Rawalpindi, Karachi, Lahore, and Multan. The tournament will start with Islamabad United vs Lahore Qalandars at Rawalpindi on April 11. All six teams, Islamabad United, Lahore Qalandars, Karachi Kings, Peshawar Zalmi, Quetta Gladiators, and Multan Sultans, will feature in a double round-robin format, and the top four will feature playoffs. The group stage would conclude on May 10, followed by playoffs, leading to the grand final in Lahore on May 18.
Match: Karachi Kings vs Islamabad United
Date: April 20th, 2025
Time: 8:30 PM PKT
Venue: National Stadium, Karachi
Major Conflicts
David Warner vs Naseem Shah: Warner's aggressive opening will be put to test by the speed and the swing of Naseem. An early breakthrough by Naseem may turn the match.
Tim Seifert vs Imad Wasim: Seifert's free-flowing batting may conflict with Imad's shrewd and conservative left-arm spin in the powerplay overs.
Mohammad Nabi vs Jason Holder: Both experienced all-rounders, Nabi's lower-order hitting power might be confronted by Holder's precise death bowling in a deciding lower-order clash.
Colin Munro v. Abbas Afridi:Munro likes to unsettle fast bowlers, but Afridi's slower balls and yorkers are likely to be challenging on the pitch of Karachi.
Rassie Van Der Dussen v Mir Hamza Rassie's unflappable temperament in the middle order supplements Hamza's consistency and swing with the new ball.
