Rajasthan Royals IPL 2024 Squad-Full Player List, Auction Purchases, Remaining Purse

Rajasthan Royals, the inaugural champions of the Indian Premier League (IPL), made a robust entry into the 17th edition’s mini-auction in Dubai, featuring 333 players and offering ten franchises a total of 77 slots. After a disappointing 2023 season, where they finished fifth, the team aimed for a resurgence with strategic acquisitions in the auction to enhance their performance in the upcoming season.

The auction kickstarted with Rajasthan Royals securing West Indies’ batter Rovman Powell for a substantial INR 7.4 crore, utilizing a purse of INR 14.5 crore. With eight slots available, including three for overseas players, the team further added players such as Shubham Dubey and Tom Kohler-Cadmore to their roster.

Despite winning the inaugural IPL edition in 2008, Rajasthan Royals has since been in pursuit of their second title. In 2022, they reached the summit clash but narrowly missed victory against Gujarat Titans. Led by Sanju Samson and featuring stars like Yuzvendra Chahal, Jos Buttler, and Ravichandran Ashwin, the team aspires for success in the challenging IPL 2024 season.
