Rajasthan Royals (RR) are struggling badly at the IPL 2025. They have blown two run chases in a row, losing the latest home game at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). Adding to the team's woes, captain Sanju Samson missed the match with injury, and it appears he will miss the next match too.

Jaideep Bihani, convenor of the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) ad hoc committee, has created a big uproar by making match-fixing allegations against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) following their two-run loss to Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Jaipur on April 19. The loss is also in the spotlight because RR played 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi, the youngest player ever in IPL history, but their regular captain, Sanju Samson, is injured and not going to play in their next game in Bengaluru, and the whole franchise has found itself back in a sharp focus again.

Match-Fixing Allegations and Administrative Rift

A day after Bihani alleged that RR were guilty of match-fixing in that game, he escalated the situation by making sensational claims in an interview with News18 Rajasthan. He suggested it was odd that RR dramatically capitulated in the final over of the game at home against. He questioned how a side can lose from so strong a position.

Bihani also accused the franchise of purposely excluding RCA from taking charge of the management of the IPL season. “The ad hoc committee was appointed by the state government for the smooth conduct of all competitions. However, when IPL started, the Zila Parishad took charge. In the beginning, BCCI had addressed RCA and not the Zila Parishad. Initially, BCCI had addressed the RCA, not the district council. RR's excuse about not having an MOU with Sawai Mansingh Stadium doesn’t hold water. If there’s no MOU, then why are you paying the Zila Parishad for every match?” he questioned.
