The 36-year-old Ravindra Jadeja made his Ranji Trophy comeback incredibly with a fifer against Delhi in the crucial Elite Group D match.
It is the must-win game for both the Group D teams fourth-placed Delhi and fifth-placed Saurashtra. Ravindra Jadeja, who was busy in the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 in Australia, has returned to the ongoing Ranji Trophy round as preparation before the upcoming home ODI series against England and the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

The left-arm spinner Jadeja dominated against the Delhi batters, where his national teammate Rishabh Pant was present. After Delhi chose to bat first at Rajkot, Jadeja claimed a five-wicket haul to bowl out Delhi for only 188 runs.
Jadeja’s first wicket of the match was the dismissal of the opener Sanat Sangwan, as he was lbw out for 12 runs. Jadeja's next achievement was a key wicket for Saurashtra. While Yash Dhull and captain Ayush Badoni set up a 51-run partnership for the third wicket, Jadeja trapped Dhull for an lbw after the no.3 batter scored 44 runs.
Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant only managed to score one run before Dharmendrasinh Jadeja dismissed him.
While the skipper Badoni played a vital knock of 60 off 78 balls, Jadeja got his third wicket by dismissing the Delhi captain.
Jadeja ended the innings with the wickets on back-to-back deliveries, as Harsh Tyagi (3) and Navdeep Saini (0) were the victims. While Jadeja completed a five-wicket haul, as he finished with the bowling figures of 17.4-2-66-5, he is on a hat-trick and will get a chance during Delhi’s next innings of the match.
Ravindra Jadeja is the fourth-leading wicket-taker for Saurashtra in first-class cricket.
