The 36-year-old Ravindra Jadeja made his Ranji Trophy comeback incredibly with a fifer against Delhi in the crucial Elite Group D match.

It is the must-win game for both the Group D teams fourth-placed Delhi and fifth-placed Saurashtra. Ravindra Jadeja, who was busy in the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 in Australia, has returned to the ongoing Ranji Trophy round as preparation before the upcoming home ODI series against England and the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

Ravindra Jadeja claimed a five-wicket haul

The left-arm spinner Jadeja dominated against the Delhi batters, where his national teammate Rishabh Pant was present. After Delhi chose to bat first at Rajkot, Jadeja claimed a five-wicket haul to bowl out Delhi for only 188 runs.

Jadeja dismissed two set batters; Rishabh Pant scored only 1 run

Jadeja’s first wicket of the match was the dismissal of the opener Sanat Sangwan, as he was lbw out for 12 runs. Jadeja's next achievement was a key wicket for Saurashtra. While Yash Dhull and captain Ayush Badoni set up a 51-run partnership for the third wicket, Jadeja trapped Dhull for an lbw after the no.3 batter scored 44 runs.

Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant only managed to score one run before Dharmendrasinh Jadeja dismissed him.

While the skipper Badoni played a vital knock of 60 off 78 balls, Jadeja got his third wicket by dismissing the Delhi captain.

Ravindra Jadeja is on a hat-trick

Jadeja ended the innings with the wickets on back-to-back deliveries, as Harsh Tyagi (3) and Navdeep Saini (0) were the victims. While Jadeja completed a five-wicket haul, as he finished with the bowling figures of 17.4-2-66-5, he is on a hat-trick and will get a chance during Delhi’s next innings of the match.

Ravindra Jadeja is the fourth-leading wicket-taker for Saurashtra in first-class cricket.
