Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will once again sport their iconic green jersey during their upcoming clash against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on April 20, 2025, at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. The franchise continues its longstanding tradition of celebrating “Go Green Day” in the Indian Premier League (IPL) to raise awareness about environmental sustainability, especially tree planting and reducing carbon footprint.
This eco-friendly initiative began in 2011, where RCB switches their regular kit to a vibrant green jersey during one of their afternoon games every season. Before the match, in keeping with the spirit of the initiative, the RCB captain presents a sapling to the opposing captain — symbolizing the message of a greener, cleaner planet.

Traditionally, RCB wears the green jersey during home fixtures at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. However, due to fixture schedules and venue changes in recent seasons, some of these matches have taken place at neutral venues — including the COVID-19-affected years. Notably, RCB also wore a blue jersey in 2021 as a tribute to COVID-19 frontline warriors across India and the world.
For the IPL 2025 season, RCB officially launched their green jersey at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, after their opening match against Kolkata Knight Riders. Now, they will don the jersey in an away game against Rajasthan Royals, continuing the tradition with full spirit and fanfare.
