The BCCI’s medical staff has advised the board to carefully monitor Bumrah’s workload during the India vs England Test series. It’s noteworthy that the right-arm paceman has represented India across all three formats. He was sidelined for nearly a year in 2022-23 due to a back injury.

In September 2022, the Mumbai Indians pacer suffered a back injury, leading to his exclusion from the squad. Subsequently, he underwent back surgery last year and made his return to action in August 2023. Since his comeback, Jasprit Bumrah has exhibited exceptional form for the Indian team.

Meanwhile, Bumrah is expected to feature in the upcoming 3rd Test match between IND and ENG. The match is scheduled to take place at the Saurashtra Cricket Stadium in Rajkot starting from February 15. The BCCI has yet to unveil the squad for the remaining three Tests against England. Ravindra Jadeja, who suffered a hamstring injury during the 1st Test, is also anticipated to make a return for the 3rd Test following his recovery.
