Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) got their campaign off to a thunderous start by posting the biggest successful chase in the Women's Premier League (WPL). On Friday, February 14, RCB overhauled a massive target of 202 to defeat Gujarat Giants (GG) by six wickets at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara. Richa Ghosh slammed an unbeaten 64 off 27 deliveries as RCB cruised home with nine balls in hand.
During the run-chase, Gardner dismissed Smriti Mandhana and Danni Wyatt-Hodge in her first over. But Perry and Raghvi Bist held the fort with a 86-run third-wicket partnership. Perry was fluent, reaching her half-century off 27 balls before being dismissed by Sayali Satghare. But from then on, the Challengers never looked back.
