Rishabh Pant not only being a wicket-keeper batsman but he has proved that he is a great tactician too. It was a game between LSG vs KKR which was played a few days ago in Eden Gardens. Where Rishabh Pant did an act that completely broke the flow of KKR when they were cruising over the chase. It happened in the 13th over of the game when Ajinkya Rahane and Venkatesh Iyer were batting.

Rishabh Pant had an issue on the back which had a slight pause on the game and it became the breakthrough for LSG where they countered the KKR batsman and dismantled their batting attack completely, where KKR had to lose the match by 4 runs despite the hard efforts of Rinku Singh. Though the Rishabh Pant Act is under question was legitimately done or not?

Rishabh Pant's Knee Injury

India was playing their final game of the T20 World Cup against mighty South Africa, During the second innings there arrived a moment where Rishah Pant had a problem in his knee and was getting treated, at that time South Africa required 26 runs off 24 balls with well-set Heinrich Klaasen and David Miller at the crease. It was, really a tight situation for India and both the batsmen were really playing well. Then came the moment when Rohit Sharma was setting the field for the next over.

He saw Rishabh Pant on his knees feeling some discomfort and physio was attending him,  it gave a short break which killed the ongoing momentum of South Africa.  And it was a sudden clause that gave the wicket of Henrich Klassen, though Miller tried to get on the game but couldn't finish the game. Later in a recent TV show Pant admitted that he was faking the injury, where he said that momentum was fully shifted to their side, so he made a try to do that which worked out at the end.

Pant Tactics Against KKR

Pant applied the same tactics against KKR when he saw a momentum shift over KKR. LSG batting first scored a total of 238 runs losing 3 wickets. But the reply of KKR was too strong. Captain Rahane and Venkatesh Iyer were playing well. It was the start of the 13th over and Pant had some issues in back and was treated on the pitch. KKR were 149/2 at that time, but after that break what followed was KKR lost 5 successive (Rahane, Ramandeep Singh, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Venkatesh Iyer and Andre Russell) wickets in the following overs.

Though at the end Rinku Singh tried to get the total but missed it by 4 runs, Rishabh Pant this act is matched with the act which he did in the World Cup final in Barbados. It had a mixed reaction in X where some agreeing with it and some offencing that this strategy is a false one.
