Sachin Tendulkar‘s office swiftly addressed concerns raised by a neighbor regarding noisy construction activities near the legendary cricketer’s residence in Bandra. On Sunday, May 5, a Twitter user named Dilip D’Souza tagged Tendulkar in a post, expressing frustration over the constant noise from a cement mixer outside Tendulkar’s home.
D’Souza requested Tendulkar, who turned 51 this year, to limit the construction work hours to minimize disturbance. The tweet garnered significant attention, amassing over 600,000 views on the platform.
Responding promptly, Tendulkar’s office reached out to D’Souza, assuring him that steps were being taken to mitigate the noise levels.
In a follow-up tweet, D’Souza highlighted another ongoing construction activity in the area, expressing disappointment over the lack of response from the engineer involved. He emphasized the adverse impact on elderly residents due to the noise. However, D’Souza appreciated Tendulkar’s office for acknowledging and addressing his concerns in a timely manner.
Meanwhile, in IPL action on the same day, Ruturaj Gaikwad, captain of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), achieved a significant milestone by surpassing Sachin Tendulkar’s run-tally in the tournament. Gaikwad’s innings of 32 runs off 21 balls against Punjab Kings helped CSK post a total of 167 runs, ultimately securing a 28-run victory.
Gaikwad’s tally now stands at 2,338 runs in 63 IPL appearances, surpassing Tendulkar’s record of 2,334 runs in 78 games for Mumbai Indians from 2008 to 2013. Notably, both players have claimed the Orange Cap once in their IPL careers. Tendulkar achieved the feat by scoring 618 runs in the 2010 season, while Gaikwad topped the charts with 635 runs in the 2021 season.
