Indian cricketer Sanju Samson smashed five consecutive sixes to Bangladesh leg-spinner Rishad Hossain during the Hyderabad T20I. Soon after that, Samson recorded his first T20I century, which was the second fastest T20I century by an Indian batter.
Hyderabad is hosting the last game of the three-match T20I series between India and Bangladesh, where India have already secured the series by winning the first two matches.
It was the day for Sanju Samson. Although his opening partner Abhishek Sharma (4) was dismissed cheaply, Samson was in the mood for bashing the Bangladesh bowlers. Captain Suryakumar Yadav provided super support to Samson.
Samson completed his 50 runs in just 22 balls. The game was stopped for some time due to the floodlight failure. After the restart of the game, Samson continued his aggressive batting.
Sanju Samson hit five sixes in a row
During the 10th over of the first innings, after Hossain delivered a dot ball on the first delivery, Samson smashed five consecutive sixes. It helped him to reach the 90 runs quickly. The right-handed opening batter launched the first four sixes over the long on and long off. He ended that over with another six over deep midwicket. Due to that stormy batting, India crossed the 150 mark in 10 overs.

Sanju Samson recorded India's second fastest T20I century
Samson ultimately completed his maiden T20I hundred in 40 balls. It was his fourth T20 century. It was India's second-fastest T20I century. Rohit Sharma holds the record for India's fastest T20I century with a 35-ball hundred against Sri Lanka during the 2017 Indore T20I.
Samson also became the first Indian wicketkeeper to record a T20I century. The previous highest individual score by an Indian wicketkeeper-batter was 89 runs by Ishan Kishan against Sri Lanka during the 2022 Lucknow T20I.
