The IPL 2025 doubleheader will start on the second day of the tournament when SunRisers Hyderabad will host Rajasthan Royals in the second game of the tournament on Sunday afternoon (March 23).

Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium (Uppal, Hyderabad) will host the second game of the IPL 2025. The SRH vs RR match will begin at 3:30 PM local time. Both teams will start their tournament journey with this fixture. 

IPL 2024 runners-up SunRisers Hyderabad

The 2016 IPL champions SunRisers Hyderabad stunned the cricket fans in the 2024 edition with their dangerous batting performances consistently in the entire tournament. They became one of the favorites of the tournament, while fans loved their fearless batting. There were no strong batting records that faced threats by SRH and their batters. Pat Cummins-led SRH ultimately finished the IPL 2024 as the runners-up after Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) won their third IPL title by beating SRH in the Final by eight wickets as KKR chased the 114-run target comfortably in 10.3 overs after losing two wickets.

Inaugural IPL champions Rajasthan Royals are dreaming of creating a new inspiring story in the IPL 2025. While they advanced to the Playoffs in two of the last three IPL seasons, Royals finished as the runners-up in the 2022 edition after losing the Final against the tournament debutant Gujarat Giants. In the last IPL season (2024), Royals had a great start as they lost only once in their first nine games. However, they ultimately qualified for the Playoffs as the third-best team. After beating Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Eliminator by four wickets, Royals lost the Qualifier 2 against SunRisers Hyderabad by 36 runs.
