Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has unveiled their first-ever ten-over contest, the Lanka T10, set to unfold between December 12-23 in Colombo. Player auctions for the league are slated for November 10th. Concurrently, plans for a women’s T10 league during the same dates are also in discussion.
“The evolution of cricket now includes the T10 format, gaining traction among fans. We’re thrilled to embark on this new endeavor and are optimistic about the maiden Lanka T10’s success,” expressed SLC president Shammi Silva.

SLC will collaborate with T Ten Sports Management to spearhead the Lanka T10 event. This team previously orchestrated the Abu Dhabi T10, Zim-Afro T10, and the United States Master T10 leagues.
T Ten Sports Chairman, Shaji Ul Mulk, spoke of the collaboration, “Over the years, we’ve not only validated T10 as a genuine cricket format but also highlighted its entertainment value.”
