The India Women's team will face Sri Lanka and South Africa in a tri-nation series. The tournament is scheduled to start on Sunday, April 27. In the opening match, India W is set to face Sri Lanka W. The series is considered to be important for all three participating teams as a stage for World Cup preparations.
Teams will have the chance to test their respective sides. If Harmanpreet Kaur's led team India is able to maintain their form, they can clinch the tri-nation series. On May 27, the final match will be held. India can face a serious threat against South Africa. Sri Lanka must pull themselves out from their recent bad patch.
Sri Lanka, despite the host nation, is currently on backfoot as they were recently defeated by New Zealand and Ireland. Sri Lanka, led by Chamari Athapaththu, would like to regroup themselves in the tournament.
