South Africa ended the T20I series on a high with a comprehensive yet consolatory 49-run win over India in the third and final T20I at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore on Tuesday. However, India clinched the T20I series 2-1 as the Rohit Sharma-led side had won the first T20 in Thiruvananthapuram by eight wickets and the second game in Guwahati by 16 runs.
“Good to get the right results in both series. In this format, you need luck, things to go your way, especially in close games. We didn’t have that in the Asia Cup, but had some luck in Australia. We were able to rotate the squad a bit, pleased with how it’s gone overall,” said Dravid. The Indian squad will now travel to Australia for the pre-World Cup camp. Meanwhile, Shikhar Dhawan will lead the men in blue in a three-game ODI series, starting on October 6.
