Put into bat first, the USA opener Steven Taylor got out for a mere 2 off 7. Soon Gous also got out for a quick 29 off 16. Meanwhile, Captain Aaron Jones and Anderson couldn’t contribute much.

However, Milind Kumar and Shadley van Schalkwyk later tried their best. But, they could score only 19 and 18 respectively as well. Wickets at regular intervals hampered their scoring. Alongside him, Pooran too played a quickfire knock of 27* off 12 with a boundary and 3 sixes as well. Player of the match

Roston Chase said: “My best figures, to do it at home is a great feeling with all my friends and family watching. We spoke about it in the team meeting that it’s our job as spinners to restrict them if they go well in the powerplay. Today I wasn’t having the best of days, I almost missed the bus. Great place to play cricket here, it’s a great stadium and the fans are always around. Our is to go and win this World Cup, we need to beat anyone in front of us.”
