The Netherlands take on Nepal at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Texas, USA on Tuesday in a Group D game in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. In an impressive display of bowling, the Netherlands capitalized on favorable conditions to dismantle Nepal for just 106 runs.
Captain Edwards’ decision to start with spin paid immediate dividends, as Pringle struck in the very first over. The seamers then took full advantage of the ideal conditions for swing bowling, sticking to their strengths and letting the pitch do the rest. Nepal’s batters struggled to cope with the movement, showcasing a lack of technical prowess.
Only skipper Rohit Paudel showed some resistance with a well-fought 35, while Karan KC contributed a brief cameo. However, the rest of the lineup faltered, leaving little to write home about.

Logan van Beek was the standout performer, ending with three wickets, while other bowlers chipped in effectively. The Dutch fielding was exceptional, with every catch taken, some of which required notable skill. This collective effort ensured that Nepal was bowled out for a mere 106 inside 20 overs.
The brilliant bowling display by the Dutch has set up an easy chase. Tim Pringle and Logan van Beek were instrumental, taking three wickets each, making the most of the overcast conditions.
