Team India’s star batter Virat Kohli hit a massive six off Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf in the T20 World Cup 2022 match between arch-rivals which has been voted as the greatest moment in the history of the tournament as well. However, the clash between India and Pakistan in the last edition of the T20 World Cup was one of the thrilling matches as India pulled off a 160-run chase on the last ball of the match after they were reduced to 31/4.

When India required 28 off 12 balls to win the match, Virat Kohli smashed two sixes off Haris Rauf in the penultimate over, which turned the table for India as well. Meanwhile, one of the sixes hit by Kohli was referred to as one of the extraordinary shots in the history of the T20 World Cup as well.

On the final ball of the penultimate over, Virat Kohli hit the ball down the ground off Haris Rauf, leaving everyone in shock at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia, as it shifted momentum towards Team India. And, in November last year, ICC officially announced Virat Kohli’s six off Haris as ‘Shot Of The Century’ as well.

As far as this year’s India’s preparation is concerned, they have started with a convincing win by 60 runs in the warm-up against Bangladesh. Rishabh Pant, and Hardik Pandya both played quickfire knocks whereas bowlers also did well. Arshdeep Singh and Shivam Dube scalped 2 wickets each. However, Virat Kohli didn’t play in the warm-up game but he has joined the squad.

Rohit Sharma said after the game: “Quite happy with how things went, got what we wanted with the game. Important to get used to conditions. New venue, new ground and drop-in pitch. (On Pant batting at 3) Just to give him an opportunity. We haven’t nailed the batting line-up yet, we wanted most guys to get a hit in the middle. (On Arshdeep) He has shown us he has the skills upfront and also the backend, he has a very good skill set. We’ve got good 15 players here, just need to nail down the conditions and pick the best players.”
