India has won the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 with 4 wickets remaining in hand. Where partnership of Hardik Pandaya and Kl Rahul made sure India over the line on the big day. India won all their league matches played in Dubai. First they beat Bangladesh by 6wickets and they won their arch Rival Pakistan with 6 wickets, then defeating New Zealand by 4 wickets on the high octane match. In semi final beating mighty Australia by 4 wickets.

Today it was match against the black caps who too played the tournament brilliantly. New Zealand won the toss and choose to bat first it was Rachin Ravindra and Will Young who started the proceedings  thrived Mohammad Shami with boundaries.

New Zealand With The Fighting Total

Mohammad Shami once again dropped a catch where he dropped dangerously looking Ravindra and even Hardik Pandaya was looking sloppy with the ball. It was never easy for any new batsman coming on playing his natural shots . Mitchell scored a good half century and Phillips going along with him but at sudden Varun Chakravarthy got him which had a turning point suddenly Bracewell took the charge and both thrashed the bowlers but soon Shami removed dangerous looking Mitchell. But Bracewell took the charge where he completed his half century and putting the respectable total of 251.

India Onto The Big Chase

IIndia started well with Rohit Sharma and Subhman Gill taking the scores forward. Today captain Rohit Sharma was not in a hurry but he highlighted he is not going to leave the loose balls with the second delivery hitting six. Rohit was looking flawless with his batting and Subhman Gill looked a bit shaky but managed well. Rohit Sharma scored a well made 50 today he looked calm and composed soon India reached the mark of 100 whocj looked a comfortable chase but at the run of a go Santer removes Gill kudos to Glenn Phillips who took a blinder of the catch to remove Gill.

After within next over Bracewell removed Virat Kohli who was given plum LBW.  Soon things changed completely ball turned to spin and everything going on. After that in quick session Ravindra took captain Rohit Sharma who was stumped on 76 , now the chase looked tricky where Iyer and Axar on the crease both played sensibly and if they got chances they hit those big hits too.

Shreyas made a great effort though he was dropped on 42 by Jamie but couldn't capitilise it as Ravindra took the catch when he, was on 48,then came Kl Rahul partnering with Axar Patel their partnership soaked the partnership but Axar too failed on going with it where Bracewell cleaned him.

But Pandaya and Rahul took the game on Pandaya with his as usal hits blazed his innings but got out eventually. Till then it was mere a score to chase where Jadeja hits the ball to the boundary and India wins their third ICC Champions Trophy which they won 12 years ago.
