Ruturaj Gaikwad

As the captain of the team you are always on the centre stage of the table. As captain batter, Ruturaj has done quite fairly a good job. In 2024 he was handed over the captaincy from Ms Dhoni and with that, his batting performance too had hit in rise he scored 543 runs in 14 matches of last year's IPL with a strike rate of 141 including a century and 4 fifties. His cool and calm approach has been the key though his performances were impressive but didn't cope with inconsistency which led them out before the playoff stage. So in this season too he will be on speculation. 

Ms Dhoni

The 43-year-old legend is known for their finishing abilities which he has done in his past several times. Last year Dhoni handed over the captaincy to the growing sensation Ruturaj Gaikwad. Last year though Chennai may not qualify for the playoffs his range hitting was quite attractive, it's been wide speculation as to what number will Ms play because sometimes it takes a toll on your body but Dhoni breaks these shells as he was seen practising hours around the chepauk ground.

Rohit Sharma

The current Indian captain is an no introductry person as he is the one who had carried the Mi expectation in his shoulders over the years. Now he is not the captain of the team but as a batter his contribution still matters a lot and he is been recently in great touch which was seen on Champions Trophy final where he scored important 79 runs and helped the team to retain their third champions trophy title.
