Rajasthan Royals (RR) won the match by eight wickets in a highly exciting match on 28 April 2025 at Sawai Mansingh Stadium. After chasing 210, RR chased it down successfully in 15.5 overs, backed by Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who made an explosive 101 off 38 balls, whereas Gujarat Titans (GT) batting never really held the pressure on RR. Let us look at the reasons for GT's loss.
First, GT was not able to defend what is a competitive total of 209/4 with poor bowling and no breakthroughs. RR's batsman didn't get snakes regarding GT's batting, especially in the power play and middle overs, with Suryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal (70 off 40) both hitting the ball beautifully. Relief batting support came from Ryan Parag contributing 32 not out off 15 deliveries and then Jaiswal finishing like a rocket - which helped RR acceleration that never hindered their chase and made it an exciting match!
Suryavanshi's score of 101 not out off 38 balls (11×4s 5×6s) transgressed any impact by GT bowlers receiving meaningless curiosities of aan effectiveonly Rashid Khan (1/24 in 4 overs) and Prasidh Krishna (1/47 in 4) to Suryavanshi's impetuously aggressive and tthought-ut scoring. With SR ((265.79),he ruled the rrun ratein scalping both the powerplay score and during the middle overs, setting an unrelenting pace that GT couldn’t counter, leading RR to chase the target with 25 balls to spare.

GT experienced difficulties restraining RR's powerful batting line-up in the first overs because SSuryavanshi, along with Yashasvi Jaiswal (70 from 40 bballs),maintained quick scoring throughout the power phase. Inside the fielding rrestrictions,RR exploited the scoring opportunities effectively to build up their foundation before the batting restrictions. GT's bowlers started the match poorly because they let RR score runs freely during their first six oovers, which established a massive advantage for RR's batting team.
GT lost important opportunities that might have changed the game's momentum. Dropped catches and sloppy fielding enabled RR's batsmen to settle, especially Suryavanshi, whose innings took unstoppable momentum. Moreover, GT also failed to take advantage of RR's occasional mistakes, failing to grab important wickets at crucial points, which ultimately cost them in this high-scoring match.
