Playing in the toughest format, Test cricket, Yashasvi Jaiswal showcased his potential during the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT). He finished as India’s highest run-scorer in the series with 391 runs and was second overall, just behind Australia’s Travis Head.

Even former English cricketers and commentators, including Michael Vaughan, who was part of the commentary panel on Fox Cricket during the series, praised Jaiswal. Vaughan described him as "a joy to watch," highlighting his impressive skills and temperament on the field.
