Indian star right-handed batter Virat Kohli created a new history in international cricket. While he completed 27000 international runs, he broke the legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar’s record.
Due to two no-action days, the India vs Bangladesh Kanpur Test lost momentum. However, Indian cricketers were busy on the fourth day of the Test match, as it completely changed the flow of the match. The hosts totally dominated on day four, as they could go for winning on the fifth day of the match.
India secured 52 runs lead
After Bangladesh were all out for 233 runs, Indian batters thrashed the visiting bowlers. In just 34.4 overs, India scored 285/9 before the declaration. India managed the lead of 52 runs. While the Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 72 off 51 balls, captain Rohit Sharma scored 23 off 11 balls, and the opening partnership was for 55 runs.
Later, Shubman Gill scored 39 off 36 balls, while Virat Kohli scored 47 off 35 balls, and KL Rahul scored 68 off 43 balls.
At the stumps of the fourth day, Bangladesh were struggling by 26/2. The visitors are trailing by 26 runs. Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, who took two wickets in the first innings (2/45), picked up both the wickets during Bangladesh second innings.

Virat Kohli broke Sachin Tendulkar's record
During his short innings, Kohli completed 27000 international runs. The right-handed batter reached the 27000 international runs mark in only 594 innings. He became the second Indian batter and fourth overall batter to complete 27000 international runs. This milestone achievement broke Sachin Tendulkar’s previous record for the fastest 27000 international runs, who completed it in 623 international innings.
Kohli has scored 13906 ODI runs in 283 innings and 8918 Test runs in 194 innings. Moreover, the right-handed batter scored 4188 T20I runs in 117 innings. He is the second-highest run-scorer in the T20I history and third leading run-scorer in the ODI history.
