Former RCB Skipper Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir got into a heated verbal exchange just after the LSG vs RCB match in which RCB successfully defended 127 runs. Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir were seen engaging in a verbal fight when the two teams were shaking hands with each other. While the other players were shaking hands, Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir were looking at each other clearly not in a good mood, and eventually, they started a heated argument. It is to be noted that LSG coach Gautam Gambhir was first seen pointing his finger towards Virat Kohli. After this incident, Virat Kohli did not hold himself back and moved towards Gautam Gambhir.

Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir fight history in IPL

Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir have had several on-field battles in the Indian Premier League (IPL) over the years, particularly when Gambhir was leading the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Kohli was leading the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

Their first notable altercation happened in 2013 during an IPL match between RCB and KKR. Gambhir and Kohli got into a heated argument on the field and had to be separated by the umpires. In another match in 2016, Kohli, who was batting for RCB, was dismissed by a catch taken by Gambhir, who was captaining KKR at the time. Gambhir reportedly celebrated the wicket rather exuberantly, which did not go down well with Kohli.

The rivalry between the two players came to a head in 2017 during an IPL match between RCB and KKR. During the match, Kohli was run out following a miscommunication with his partner, AB de Villiers. Kohli was visibly upset and appeared to direct his anger towards Gambhir, who was captaining KKR at the time. The two players exchanged heated words and had to be separated by the umpires.
