Having said that, celebrities from a variety of fields, including music, film, television, and sports, are frequently idolized by fans. They also go to great lengths to show how much they love, care, and even “obsess” over their idols. On the other hand, there are times when fans go to great lengths to show their love, and many of us don’t like this. 

A female Virat Kohli fan who was seen kissing the Indian cricketer’s wax statue at Madame Tussauds experienced the same thing. Strikingly, Virat Kohli is quite possibly the most famous and successful cricketer in the nation and presumably partakes in a gigantic fan following, particularly among young boys and girls.

A young girl, who appears to be a fervent supporter of Kohli, kisses the cricketer’s statue during her visit to the museum in the viral social media video. Although it wasn’t a typical kiss, the statue was directly kissed. The entire incident was captured on video.

The video went viral as soon as it was shared, eliciting furious responses from numerous Kohli fans. The girl’s behavior was criticized by many, who also referred to her antics as “disgusting” and “cringy.” Concerns about how Virat Kohli’s wife, Anushka Sharma, would have reacted were also voiced by a segment of social media users.

Notably, this act originates from a location where museum staff continue to advise visitors to keep a safe distance from the statues to prevent any damage. On a daily basis, the museum, which houses wax statues of various well-known Indian and international celebrities, attracts a large number of tourists.

Virat Kohli is currently representing Team India in the Border Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. The Indian team leads the series 2-0. The third test is scheduled to begin on March 1, 2023.
