As India are set to face New Zealand in the last group stage (Group A) match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, former Indian captain Virat Kohli has achieved a new milestone by just joining in the playing XI.
India and New Zealand are fighting for the top place in the Group A points table of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, as they are facing each other at Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Sunday (March 2). New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner chose to field first after winning the toss in the last group stage fixture.

It is the 300th ODI for Virat Kohli. The 36-year-old legendary batter is the seventh Indian cricketer and 22nd international cricketer to reach the 300 ODI milestone. With five more ODIs, Kohli will surpass Yuvraj Singh (301 ODIs for India and 304 ODIs in career) and will record the sixth most ODI appearances by an Indian.

The ongoing India vs New Zealand match in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 group stage is the 548th international match for Kohli. With two more international matches, Kohli will become the second Indian cricketer and sixth overall cricketer to reach the 550 international cricket milestone. Kohli can reach this international cricket milestone by appearing in the Final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 after becoming a playing XI member in India's Semi-final victory of the competition.
