This remarkable six came in the 17th over of the first innings. Facing Renegades pacer Kyle Richardson, Maxwell unleashed a stroke that will be remembered for a long time. Richardson bowled a full-length delivery that landed perfectly in Maxwell’s slot. Using his incredible wrist strength and timing, Maxwell flicked the ball with sheer power, sending it soaring between long-on and mid-wicket. The ball climbed into the sky and landed deep into the stands, measuring a staggering 122 meters. This monstrous hit left the crowd and commentators in awe, cementing itself as one of the best moments of the season.

Maxwell’s innings was nothing short of extraordinary. He scored 90 runs off just 52 balls, single-handedly propelling the Stars to a competitive total of 165. His knock included an impressive 10 sixes and 4 fours. At one point, the Stars were struggling at 75 for 7, but Maxwell’s innings turned the tide. He found an unlikely partner in Usama Mir, who contributed zero runs from five balls but stood firm at the crease during their crucial 81-run partnership. This partnership helped the Stars recover from the brink of collapse.

Interestingly, Maxwell’s incredible six came against Kyle Richardson, the same bowler who later dismissed him. Maxwell tried to continue his explosive innings but fell to Richardson, bringing an end to his remarkable knock.
Apart from Maxwell, no other batter managed to cross the 30-run mark. The second-highest scorer for the Stars was Ben Duckett, who contributed 21 runs off 14 balls. Despite the lack of support, Maxwell’s innings stood out as a masterpiece of power. While every six in his innings was special, the 122-meter hit will remain the highlight of the season.
