The Indian Premier League (IPL) is renowned for its high-octane atmosphere, and the clash between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on April 12 was no different. A memorable moment from the match came when Shreyas Iyer's frustration with the umpire was visibly apparent.
During the 4th over of the match between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Punjab Kings (PBKS), a tense moment unfolded when Glenn Maxwell and Prabhsimran Singh decided to review a caught behind decision. The umpire, however, bypassed Punjab Kings' captain Shreyas Iyer and directly approached the third umpire for the review. This move sparked an immediate reaction from Iyer, who was visibly frustrated.
He raised his voice and exclaimed, "Abbe mujhse toh pucho DRS ka," expressing his displeasure at not being consulted before the review was taken. Iyer's outburst quickly caught the attention of those watching, and the moment went viral, highlighting his impatience with the decision-making process during the game. This incident added another layer of intensity to an already high-energy match, reflecting the passion and emotions that often surface in the heat of IPL competition.

The Punjab Kings skipper voiced his displeasure to the umpire before eventually opting for the review, showing visible frustration over the decision. However, the on-field drama did little to shake the focus of Sunrisers Hyderabad’s batters. Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma put on a record-breaking partnership- the highest for any wicket in IPL 2025 so far- anchoring SRH’s successful chase.
Travis Head contributed a solid 66 off 37 balls, including 9 boundaries and 3 sixes. While he initially played second fiddle to Abhishek Sharma’s early blitz, Head picked up momentum during the middle overs, particularly targeting the spinners to accelerate the innings and help SRH stay ahead in the chase.
The spotlight, however, belonged to Abhishek Sharma, who delivered a jaw-dropping performance. The left-hander smashed 141 off just 55 balls, laced with 14 fours and 10 sixes. His innings not only marked the third-highest individual score in IPL history but also became the highest-ever score while chasing in the league’s record books.
