India and Delhi Capitals (DC) batter KL Rahul was visibly fired up after steering his team to a commanding six-wicket victory over Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the IPL 2025 clash held on Thursday, April 10, at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Rahul delivered a stellar, unbeaten knock of 93 runs off just 53 balls, smashing seven boundaries and six towering sixes. His explosive performance played a pivotal role in helping Delhi chase down the 164-run target in only 17.5 overs, securing their fourth consecutive win of the tournament.
After sealing the win with a towering six over the fine leg off Yash Dayal, KL Rahul unleashed his emotions in style, showcasing his fiery side near the pitch. Brimming with passion, he let out a few animated words and confidently gestured as if to claim ownership of the ground. Having spent a significant part of his cricketing journey at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium as a local lad, Rahul made it clear—this was his turf.
Rahul was once again slotted at number four, with Faf du Plessis returning from injury to reclaim his opening spot. However, the shift in batting position didn’t impact Rahul’s form, as he carried forward the momentum from his match-winning innings in the previous game against Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

Rahul stepped in to bat with Delhi in early trouble at 10/2 in just 2.1 overs and wasted no time, opening his account with a boundary off Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s second ball. He had a lucky escape when RCB skipper Rajat Patidar dropped a sharp chance at extra cover—only for Rahul to respond by smashing a boundary on the very next delivery.
Even as wickets kept falling at the other end, Rahul remained composed, steadily building his innings. He reached his fifty off 37 balls, then unleashed an all-out assault, hammering 22 runs off a single Josh Hazlewood over. What followed was a breathtaking exhibition of stroke play as the local lad lit up M. Chinnaswamy Stadium with a stunning array of shots, dominating the RCB attack with style and precision.
His unbeaten 93 not only sealed the win for Delhi but also earned him the Player of the Match award. Speaking at the post-match presentation, a charged-up Rahul claimed his connection with the ground runs deep—calling it his home turf and confidently stating that no one knows it better than he does.
