Indian captain Rohit Sharma is one of the Indian fan favourites, and we have already seen some of his crazy fans. Recently, Rohit fulfilled one of his fan’s ten years of long wait.
The Indian team was busy on Sunday (December 1) during the invitational one-day practice match against Prime Minister’s XI at Manuka Oval (Canberra). Although the Indian captain Rohit failed with the bat in that game, the Indians comfortably won that match and fully utilised that pink-ball practice match.
On Monday (December 2), the BCCI official social media account published a video where Rohit was busy signing autographs for his uncountable passionate fans during their practice match at Canberra. Just like other Rohit fans, one of his fans couldn’t keep his patience to get an autograph from his star and was shouting Rohit’s name to get attention. The fan also told the Indian skipper that he waited 10 years for his autograph, which caused laughter in that place, and Rohit couldn’t stop laughing at that moment.

Last June, Rohit Sharma led the Indian national cricket team to win the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. It was India's second T20 World Cup title; they won their first trophy in the inaugural edition of the tournament (2007), where young Rohit was a key member.

Rohit is leading the Test team in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, a five-match Test series against the hosts Australia. He was absent for the Test series opener due to his parental leave. Due to his absence, Jasprit Bumrah was the stand-in captain for the Test series opener at Perth Stadium, where India thrashed the hosts by 295 runs and took a crucial 1-0 lead.
Adelaide Oval will host the second Test of the series, which will be a day-night pink ball Test match, starting on December 6. It will be India’s third, Australia’s 13th, and second Australia vs India day-night pink-ball Test match.
