Shreyas Iyer has been a key member in Indian squard nowadays. He is one the important assest for the middle order who always soakes the pressure well in most of the difficult times. In past few years India have been searchinh for a strong middle order batsman after Suresh Raina who can score quick runs and stabilise the team core as well. Over the years Raina had been the backbone of Indian team whose role was to stop or guide the collapsed innings back on to the track.

Iyer Replicated Through Set Backs

Shreyas Iyer went on for a back surgery around April 2023 and was gairing up for upcoming world cup. Soon he was included in the world cup squard. He had a tremoundous world cup where he had scored three centuries and two half centuries, scoring 536 runs in the World Cup. But at the eve of the final against Australia he failed miserably scoring 4 runs on an important matches.

Even it was stated that Iyer performance on crunth matches under the radar where he gets out cheaply. After that he was excluded from team India too for not participating in Ranji Trophy prioritising IPL over domestic. He was out from the T20 world cup squard. He felt that he was sidelined from the team where he posses he needed a break after the big tournament but his communication reciprocated in other meaning.

 Shreyas Iyer felt bad though after his good performance he was opted out so he decided to let his bat to talk rather than complaining about everything. Soon Shreyas played his Ranji Quaterfinals matches for Mumbai scoring quick fire 95 runs paving the victory over Viradbha, he went to win the semi finals and finals of Ranji Trophy. Soon he led Kolkata Knight Riders to their third Ipl trophy. 

After winning the trophy he exclaimed he is more satisfied, I know that there have been lots of talking about his place in team and he remained quite. He said I have answered my critics on best way possible. After this even selectors were forced to include his name in Champions Trophy squard. Which was seemed to a delicated move. Iyer has saved India on both the matches against Pakistan and New Zealand and proved that he is the most relaiable middle order batsman for team India.
